Kate & Sarah: An Accountability Story 🤝

I will believe, until the day I die, that the ONLY difference in women who stay healthy long-term and the ones who don't are the people they choose to surround themselves with.

I heard a wonderful story recently about two friends, Kate and Sarah that I wanted to share with you.

Sarah is a first-time mom who was struggling with her fitness habits. About 6 months after the baby was born, she wanted to get into better shape but didn't know where to start. This was made even tougher as she had recently returned to work and her schedule was being squeezed even tighter.

That's when her friend Kate, a busy mom of two who had somehow always made fitness a priority, took a brave step and offered to help.

It wasn't super formal, but Kate became Sarah's accountability partner, helping her to create a workout plan and setting small goals for her. Kate also offered some healthy meal ideas that her family loved and shared some of her favorite workout videos with her friend.

As you would likely imagine, Sarah was overwhelmed at first and was unsure if she could stick to the plan. But Kate was so kind & faithful. She kept motivating and encouraging her, reminding her of her goals and the progress she had made bit by bit.

With Kate's support, Sarah has stuck to her fitness routine and made healthy steps over the past 6 months. Being a first-time mom is so hard, but she feels more confident and energized, and she credits the accountability that Kate provided.

Kate was there to show her that getting in shape was not about perfection but about progress, which Sarah has experienced. Plus, their friendship had gone to a whole new level, and what mom with young kids doesn't need that!?!

Do you know a Sarah?
Do you need to be a Kate?

We have plenty of both in BTRIBALFIT and our May Fitness Challenge is a great time to find what you are looking for! 🥇

Happy March!! 🌸 I don't know about you, but the warmer weather is bringing my heart so much happiness. Even if "winter weather" is giving us the side eye & eyebrow raise, this past week has felt glorious outside!! Spring is around the corner and so are 8pm sunsets 👏 Sweet Story!! At the beginning of 2024 I was approached by Celebrate Magazine of NW Arkansas. They told me their March issue would focus on highlighting women in the community making a positive difference. Then they asked if they...

Goodbye January, Hello February! Why do we LOVE February? Cause it's short and sweet 💘🍫 Sometimes I make mom jokes and occasionally they are funny. So, my family was A-OK saying hasta-la-vista to January. 👋 Besides the cold dark days of winter and endless at-home icy school days, I came down with a head cold that tested every ounce of my patience and is still somehow lingering!! Meanwhile my husband battled several kidney stones 🙅🏻♂️ I think we ALL need something exciting to look forward to,...
